7. application and performance

● Reaction catalyst:

This product is an effective catalyst in esterification, transesterification, condensation and addition reactions. Mainly used in (meth) acrylate, polyester, plasticizer, various esters, polyurethane, etc. The use of ET may facilitate elimination of by-products, increased yield, ease of handling, low catalyst concentration, and low toxicity.

● Cross-linking agent:

This product can be used for crosslinking polymers or adhesives containing functional groups such as-OH or-COOH.

● Coating:

Treat glass, metal, fillers and pigments with this product to increase surface hardness, adhesion promotion, scratch resistance, coloring effect, heat and light reflection, iridescence and corrosion resistance.

● Titanium dioxide pigments and films:

Microscale or nanoscale titanium dioxide pigments can be formed from ET. It can also be used to produce polymeric titanium dioxide surface films by pyrolysis or hydrolysis processes.

● This product is usually formulated with other ingredients in catalysis, crosslinking, or coating applications. The titanate is usually added as a final ingredient to prevent unwanted pre-reaction with water or other ingredients. For adhesion promotion or surface modification applications, ET can be used as a primer from a dilute solution.

In coating applications, thin polymeric titanium dioxide coatings may be formed by heat treatment or hydrolysis processes.

• In sol-gel applications, the fully or partially hydrolyzed product is usually combined with other metal alkoxides to oxidize the metal by using a sol-gel process.
