The use of silicone resin is not limited to high temperature resistance. It also has the characteristics of good anti-sticking. Modified silicone resin is also a common raw material in the production of silicone coatings. Modified silicone resin is a "modified version" of silicone resin. Because silicone resin is more expensive, has poor adhesion, and has a long curing time, it is not suitable for large-area construction occasions. Through the modification of silicone resin, The above shortcomings can be overcome.
Polyester and polyacrylic modified silicone coatings are widely used in recent years. Its weather resistance and stain resistance are very good. Coatings made from modified silicone resins can be used to protect the surfaces of mechanical parts. Especially in the automotive industry, this coating is often used. The modified silicone resin has a long life, and the general use age can reach 10 years, so it is used in some long-term protection devices. Such as railway bridges, freight cars, petroleum equipment, agricultural machinery and appliances, etc.
